# A Personal Digital Embassy

I use AI chats and coding agents in my own work. I want AI to help with my digital resources, while I decide what it is allowed to do. That is why I am developing Personal Digital Embassy. — Alex Gusev

Your email, calendar, messages, websites and financial information are part of your digital world. An AI assistant could help with them, but reading data, preparing an action for your approval and acting on its own are different levels of access. PDE is being designed to let you choose the resources and actions you make available.

A bank account illustrates the ambition: perhaps you would allow an assistant to read transactions, prepare a payment for approval, or transfer only to selected accounts or within set limits. This is a vision, not an available banking integration or a claim that those controls are implemented today.

## Your resources, your authority

A Desk is an application for a Resource. It can run on your phone or computer, keep Resource credentials in its execution environment, and enforce the limits you configure. When stopped or disconnected, it cannot execute new requests through itself. This does not undo an action already started or guarantee the security of the Resource against other risks.

Your Office organizes Desks. A Gate connects authorized external applications to them. Your Embassy represents your interests and choices, even when others provide the Gate, software, computer, operating system or browser you choose to use. These providers and environments still need your trust.

## Choose whom to trust

You can operate your own infrastructure or voluntarily use a trusted Gate Provider. Operating a Gate is a service, not ownership of your resources or authority over them. You also choose which Desk Provider's software to trust.

These choices have practical limits. A Gate Provider may see requests and responses in transit, and the environment running your Desk matters. No arrangement promises absolute security. Trust should be informed, deliberate, and open to reconsideration.

## Independence by design

Here, Web 3.0 means decentralization, personal data sovereignty, and independent participation; it does not require blockchain-based Web3.

PDE is a federation of independent participants. Your digital representation does not require a central organization, a single server, a mandatory DNS provider, or a commercial intermediary to own it.

Open interfaces should let people build compatible infrastructure and choose providers without surrendering their independence. The design also lets a Person develop an independent Desk for a Resource and connect it through Office. Gate need not maintain a persistent catalogue of Desk types or Resources: its role is to connect authenticated Consumer Accesses with the Person’s available Desks, while Desk-owned Access Policies govern the Operations they can perform. Gate can request a temporary inventory of available Desks during consent.

## Independent operation, collective security

Independent participants should be able to cooperate on software review, threat detection, and incident response while keeping control of their own resources. Shared findings can strengthen independent decisions without giving a central organization authority over everyone.

This is a principle for the network's development, not a claim that a shared security service is already operating.

## A sustainable open network

Participants can earn by operating infrastructure, building integrations, offering professional support, and improving security. Those services should make independent participation practical and sustainable.

**We earn by supporting independence, not by creating dependence.**

## Built with AI agents

PDE is intended for people already using AI chats and coding agents who want to connect AI to their own Resources. It is also an example of developing a connected set of software with AI agents under human direction. Alex directs agents developing his TeqFW platform, his TeqCMS content management system, this website, and the PDE infrastructure. The same approach can help a Person create a Desk for a Resource of their own choosing and connect it independently. Human direction and review remain important; agent development does not itself establish security or production readiness.
