# Build a Desk for your own digital world

You already use AI chats and coding agents. Imagine connecting them to your email, calendar, messages, website or another service, while choosing which actions to make available. A PDE Desk is an independent application that connects a Resource to your Personal Digital Embassy. It handles Resource credentials in its own execution environment, applies the Desk-local Consumer Access Policies you configure, and performs permitted Operations. A Desk may run in your browser or on your computer. When stopped or disconnected, it cannot execute new requests through itself; an action already started may still complete.

## From an API to your own Desk

Choose a Resource and a specific useful action, examine its API or library documentation, and use an AI coding agent to help design and implement a compatible Desk. Configure credentials in the Desk environment, define appropriate permissions, and review and test the code, dependencies, access restrictions, error handling and effects. The Person remains responsible for trust and approval; AI-generated code is not automatically safe.

The v3 design lets you attach an independently developed compatible Desk through your Office. Gate does not need a persistent catalogue of Desk types or Resource integrations. During consent, Gate requests a temporary inventory of available Desks for the Person to select for initial enrollment. When an authorized Consumer discovers Operations, available Offices and Desks contribute what their current Policies permit for that Consumer Access. Desk checks its current policy again at execution. A disconnected Desk cannot contribute or execute. Trust establishment, attachment and authorization still apply; availability and compatibility depend on the actual implementation.

## Two examples from PDE v1

Alex Gusev reports that agents under his direction created Telegram and Porkbun Desks for PDE v1 using the public [Telegram TDLib documentation](https://core.telegram.org/tdlib) and [Porkbun API documentation](https://porkbun.com/api/json/v3/documentation). They worked for his personal use. This is the owner's account, not independent verification. TDLib is a library for building Telegram clients; Porkbun provides an API for its services.

PDE v3 protocols and code are under development. Telegram and Porkbun Desks are planned for v3; the v1 examples do not establish their availability, supported actions, or compatibility in v3. The code is currently private; the owner plans to open it after development stabilizes, without a committed release date. No public Desk SDK, tutorial, or working v3 integration is promised here.

## Bring your own idea

What Resource or API would you connect, and what should an AI assistant be allowed to do? Email **alex@wiredgeese.com** ([write to Alex](mailto:alex@wiredgeese.com)) to discuss early testing, an idea, or paid assistance creating or modifying a Desk. After v3 software stabilizes, Alex plans to register interested testers on his first Gate. Availability and terms are discussed individually.

Read [How it works](/how-it-works), [Join early testing](/participate), [Paid assistance](/services), and [Development status](/status). The [knowledge map](/index.md) can be shared with your AI assistant.
